What this topic asks you to be able to do
- understand that integration reverses differentiation, and integrate (ax + b)^n for every rational n except –1, along with constant multiples, sums and differences
- solve problems in which a constant of integration has to be found
- evaluate definite integrals
- apply definite integration to work out the area of a region enclosed by a curve together with lines parallel to the axes, by a curve and a line, or by two curves, and to work out a volume of revolution about either axis
