What this topic asks you to be able to do
- Work out missing angles and give short reasons, using these facts about angles: around a point, total = 360°; on a straight line, total = 180°; vertically opposite angles are equal; in a triangle, total = 180°; in a quadrilateral, total = 360°.
- Find missing angles and justify them geometrically for the angles formed where lines are parallel: corresponding angles take the same value, alternate angles are the same size, and co-interior angles total 180° (supplementary).
- Understand and apply the angle facts belonging to regular polygons.
